yj here. oh man. who's tt crazy woman posing in the photo. haha
hmm. i jux received a letter from NTU about a career option talk on biological science. well, actually i can further pursue a degree in doc even for biological science. haix. this is really a hard choice. i like both courses haha. think i can only wait for NUS to reply me and attending the talk while i'm waiting for the reply.
so sx, u r most probably going engineering now? hmm my bro is taking bioengineering now.. i realise the physics part is what we learnt in JC. haha i even taught him how to solve some qns. i think u may want to look through the curriculum again for the courses and the career part, because for me, i;m considering more about the passion part.. dun wanna learn something and in the end i have no passion to carry out my job =(
biggest loser is good! did u watch aus version? cox i dun like aus version.. kinda drama lo. but USA one is like =.= u can see lots of backstabbing as the game is ending cox of the prize.. but wadeva. i love the website! nbc.com. there's recipes for healthier food haha. i wanna try and cook some for my mum. haiz. she is in the obese category. havene explore the web though haha. think i'll quit delaying and start to find some suitable recipes.
oh gym! i m going to the gym tml too=) with my sis. dunno if we can use the equipments or not. i haven been to the gym before. excited=) my legs are terrible. dun really think swimming is enough. and it has been a long time since i've ran!
ooh no 21 may is a thurs. i'm having tuition. maybe we can meet up for dinner? haha i think the boys can only come out on the weekends... dunno how is it lo. haix.
oh! sx birthday is on this sun!! =) in case i forgot, let me wish u a happy happy birthday=) celebrating with any special person? ;)

Went Port Stephens over the weekend. Its at the north-east of Sydney. Beautiful beach, great weather, fresh oysters, but horrible people. :( Another bad experience. So my dad dropped us off at this fish and chips restaurant while he went to park the car. We were just slightly on the side of the road, and this car came by us and the driver said "This is the driver's side of the road". OKAY we were just walking into the restaurant and my grandmother cant walk fast. So wadeva la we ignored him. AND THEN he shouted at us "GET OFF THE ROAD!!" ...WTF?! The road is as wide as his shithole and we werent in the middle of the road..tamade! And he managed to drive off just in time b4 we could say anything. I was soo upset like i never got screamed at in public. But one guy who worked in the restaurant was like saying such people are not worth getting upset over. At least there are still nice people around.
Anyway, is a nice place apart from that incident. We went on a dolphin cruise because Port Stephens is supposed to be a dolphin territory. And according to their website, there's
99% success rate in dolphin sightings. A dolphin sighting is guaranteed or a free ticket to come again is given. Yea so after 90 mins of sighting FOR dolphins,we were given a free ticket return. No dolphins..not even a seagull. :(
The only dolphin i saw was the one behind me. Wind was sooo strong, nearly got blown off.
No weird snacks here la haha this is Australia la not Thailand. But there's lots of thai restaurants and kebab here. Like everywhere you go..you're bound to see thai food and kebab. Other than that..its just steak steak steak and steak. Haha. The steak here is really not bad. You can just buy a piece of rib eye from the supermarket for less than 10 Aussie dollars, grill it yourself..and it tastes better than any Tony Romas in Malaysia or Singapore.
Uni applications..hmm my first choice to do commerce major in actuarial got rejected by UNSW, instead they gave me my 2nd choice which is food science. Not really keen on that..so UNSW is OUT..stupid university..go la go give all the prcs,no wonder your university looks soo dirty and smelly..okie not entirely through haha but wadeva. Anw,University of Sydney accepted me for electrical engineering, so did NTU and NUS. Hmm..tough decision and then there's Anu's actuarial to consider. But i guess since accomodation, meals and sai kang jobs(my sisters muahaha) are all catered for here in Sydney. It'll most likely be Usyd. :) But im quite scared..like what if engineering is not suitable for me,geee i dunno eh. I dont want to get stuck with something i suck at and then i cant graduate with honours. Nursing is good..there's plenty of job prospects out there..and its a high pay job! Sadly not my cup of tea. Hope you get it! I can totally imagine you in nurse uniform cleaning up people's shit. HAHA jk jk :)
I might be goin down Singapore one last time on the 21st of May. Hopefully the NS people would be out by then and we could all meet up! :)
Im reading lots and lots of books too..But they are all romance haha. One week in Sydney and i've already read three books from Melanie La'Brooy,an aussie author. My sis just got a nintendo DS and im addicted to this game called Cooking Mama 2! Its like you have to cook a dish and in the end you're graded for it and if you do well, you unlock another dish to cook. The cooking process is really fun. like cracking egg, slicing apple, peeling prawn, washing rice etc etc within the time limit. Hehe FUN! :)
I watched The biggest loser on aussie tv that night..nice meh? Its like very drama leh. Hehe anw i'm super free now so i'll just watch anything :) Alright im going gym now..muahaha hope i wont faint :) Tata!

hello. yijia here.
woo...is it so bad at Aus? hmm.. Aus is always my last choice for holiday... after reading what u said, i think i'll NEVER consider it again. haha. The ship looks cool. n i like ur orange shawl. hahaha. think i'm quite crazy over shawls. my sis has been discouraging me frm buying it all the time=( so how's ur shopping trip at Aus? did u bought a lot of shirts not found in Msia? how abt the food? is there any weird or interesting snacks tt u've never seen before?
oh. regarding the university applications, i'm accepted by NTU in Biological Sciences. It's more of studying Biology. hmm... I'm giving it serious consideration coz it seems hard to find a job in that sector... NUS replied me and i got an Nursing interview (on 16 April). It went well! I'm more interested in Nursing than Biological Science right now but it's hard to say what my decision is. But i think if NUS offer me Nursing, I'll accept it. Well! Cross my fingers and hope that I'll receive good news from NUS!!
Erm, so wad's ur first choice anyway? sydney's uni or what? Which courses did u apply for NUS n NTU? The guys will have to wait awhile since they will only be enrolled 2 years later.
Speaking of that, I wonder how Azri is doing now hahaha. have u seen his Facebook pics? oh Az, u look FABULOUS in botak! just like Mr Herd hahaha. Jon Leo was enlisted on the 14/4. He will only be out on the 29th. Sx, they won't be bald for 2 years la. They will only be bald for a short time I think.. 'Cause of the tekong training. Haix.. Let's meet up!!! Sobx.
Right now, my life is quite boring. Filled with tuition almost everyday. I even need to buy a planner to write down my lesson time 'cause i'll forget. haha. besides that is reading books from the library. I think by school reopens, Ii can finish almost half of the young ppl fiction section in the library.
ok. maybe we shall play some online games so that we can chat. any ideas? haha Oh and the games on Facebook? i dun really noe how to play wahahaha. mostly i jux play with the personality tests. haha
oh! i nearly left this out: i am now watching a USA reality show " The Biggest Loser". It's a game show that is about participants losing weight and the one who lose the most weight gets to wn a whole lot of money. These participents are overweight people. Some even face health problems like diabetes etc. It's really cool and touching to see how much these people will go to change their lives. i think u can go nbc.com to watch the full episodes. (i watch it on cable tv.)
ok tt's all for now. i am going to watch my cartoon now! hehe

Hey hey hey! Presenting BLUEY the bunny(my sis's rabbit) :)
Sx Here..Again..
Im in aussie and this is day 4! Its autumn now, weather's really nice..chilly but not too cold. So no need air con no need heater..save electricity..save the environment..just GREAT :) Haha anw australia is going through an identity crisis..im seeing more asians than anything. No wonder the locals dislike asians so much. I personally got attacked by chip balls by some kiddos while crossing the street a few years back. And my eldest sis got thrown eggs by some auntie. Even funnier one was my sis's fren, who was approached by a man in his car asking for directions..so being a good samaritan,he went closer to the man to offer directions..then the man took some eggs from his side pocket and threw it at the poor guy's face. -.- So moral of the story, when in Aus, wear raincoat while crossing the road, dont buy eggs in market and RUN when someone asks for directions.
However i went shopping today and surprisingly..the aussies are all very customer friendly. Every salesgirl you pass by will either greet you with "Hi, how are you?" or if you are not interested in their products they wont bin chao chao like some malaysian store keepers and instead wish you "thank you enjoy your day!" like very enthusiastically. I went into this store and the male cashier saw some bunny food we bought earlier, and was so excited that we had a bunny and said he wanted one too and then another guy came and started telling us some random stories about a pet lion in england..haha yes they are that friendly.. And my 2nd sis taught me this..even if you're never goin back to the store still shout out "see you soon!" Weird hah but thats the way. Hehe
So I went to a tall ship dinner on sunday to celebrate my eldest sis's bday. The ship sails for two hours and we just eat and enjoy the view from the ship. It was freaking cold and unfotunately it rained... So we ended up indoors most of the time. Food wasnt that great. Quite little despite the price we paid. But its more of the experience that made it all worth it..Apparrently the ship was build in Denmark in the early 1900s so it survived the war and storm and tsunami and wadeva..so its really a ship ship..the head of the ship kinda reminds me of "Jack, you jump I jump" scene from titanic. But other than that is more of pirates of the caribbean ship.
View from the ship
The opera house behind us Inside the ship, the interior is really nice and cosy
Woohoo Captain Jack Sparrow yo!
Alright the real captain here..see he uses his leg to steer while talking to me father..;]
Shopping time!
Me in ugg boots..yea ugg as in 'ugly',thats what they call those kind of boots here :)
Its a SHOWER CAP! So cute right hehe. :P
Alright thats all from me today :) YJ WHERE ARE YOU??? Hope to hear from you soon. :)

AHHH sorry for not updating :) But other than work, nothing much happening here. And i shall not bore you guys with the details of my brainless job. Shh pls do not write my full name here..dont want my boss to google and read this.
Okie first up. I've got offer from anu for actuarial :) Woohoo orientation starts july 10th like sooper doooper early. But anu is my last alternative. Still Waiting for sydney's and unsw's replies..and also nus&ntu. Till then,im undecided as of now hehe.
DRIVING - im super sensitive when this word comes up.
NOPE i didnt fail my test.
In fact i havent even gone for enough lessons to get into an accident. Coz apart from driving round some dumb cones, i have done little. Anw the driving school is screwed up. Mine got postponed and postponed coz my driving instructor resigned. So my 2nd driving lesson will continue in may. The first lesson which i took more than a month back is completely wasted coz i have already forgotten most of it.. including basics like how to signal.whether up or down signals left or right. -.-
Alright moving on to nicer stuffs..
I went to watch David Archuleta's showcase today with Seira and her sis. Seemingly the showcase is "by-invitation" only. So when we reached there at 2 for the 3pm showcase..we realised a few things..
1. Malaysians are equally as kiasu as Singaporeans..the whole theatre was flooded with humans already when we arrived and i mean ALOT ALOT of humans..and some even came since 12pm to book seats..we ended up sitting on the steps :(
2. The organisers were pretty generous to the extent of "inviting" the whole of KL.
and at 3.50pm we realised..
Americans are just like Malaysians in terms of punctuality :)
And what supposedly was a David Archuleta showcase started with a "which malaysian singers can disgrace themselves more in front of an american idol runner up" First we had a taiwanese singer wannabe singing, whom half way decided to cut the whole taiwanese crap and imitate michael jackson moves instead,bt failed miserably. The women in front of me was asking "who is he?" LOL i wish i knew but even if i wasnt restricted by the ant-size view,i wouldnt have known till she turned back again and said "OOH heard he is runner up from astro talent quest". OKie..right :)
And then some malay dude by the name of Ale satah? Oh god i dont know what name is that. He could have just sing and leave the stage but NOO,without any michael jackson moves to show off..he tot he can sway the crowd by taking off his jacket and throwing it to one corner. WTF i didnt come here to see you strip. Halfway he even asked us to "help him warm up"..and we responded with a loud echo-ish "NOOO!". Ale satah or wadeva your name is..you should have just left your jacket on if you wanna feel warm.
The last one was Daniel Lee(previous malaysian idol) Okie no comments, was a decent performance unlike the other two.
Alright i wont be bias..they all sang well. But i came for DAVID ARCHULETA's showcase so cant blame me for being pissed.
FINALLY the moment everyone's waitin for.. at 4.30pm..DAVID ARCHULETA came on stage. Scream scream scream. Yea im not a big fan of him. But is nice to watch him sing and play the piano in person. Here are some pics. Not many coz i took more videos.
The astro talent quest dude dancing
David gracing the stage with his awesome vocals :)
Too bad as i mentioned earlier,he appeared like an ant to me. Anw was quite disappointing coz after waiting 2 hours for him..it was barely half an hour of watching JUST him. And invitation comes with a price. Just to clarify, I didnt get the tickets, but seira's bro's friend managed to get extra tickets. Paid 30 bucks. For 30mins of Archuleta. Hmm..
But im not blaming anyone. Still happy that i got to go. So if seira happens to read this which i highly doubt so. THANK YOU :)
To end off, would like wish all the noobs out there HAPPY NS-ing. Hope i can still see all of you AlIVE and BALD after two years :)
