AZRI MISKAL REPORTING.
I don't know whether you are going to believe this but this is the third time that I'm retyping this. I've written three times before this and they refuse to save. If this one doesn't work out, I'm going hope to type something out and posting it on our blog.
Suenxin, POP basically means Passing Out Parade and it occurs after you've completed your Basic Military Training. I don't know what police call theirs but mine is Basic Rescue Training. I'm not disclosing any information about what happens since we're bounded by the law and stuff. But hopefully you get the idea. After completing this training, you undergo this ceremony of POP and then you'll be posted out to various department and divisions around the country and finish the remaining time of NS there. The things you can get vary.
Yijia, I'm so proud that you did not scream with the ghost between you and your friend. I still remember that time when I went to the haunted house at Escape Theme Park and my friend insisted that I accompany her to enter the thing. It was not full of ghosts but full of monsters. Those kind of zombies, frankenstein, et cetera. It was not that scary but my friend started screaming and freaking out. We had to exit by the entrance TWICE because she was so damn scared to move on and stayed at the same spot screaming on and on again. Lesson learnt: do not enter a haunted house with someone who cannot take it. It causes a lot of time wasted, and your ear drums feel as though they're going to shatter.
My work is fine. It's not that bad neither it's all work. There are some who refuses to do any work and chooses to enter the office and sleep the day away but I feel really bad doing that. I mean, it's a total waste of time and we can always sleep at night. I mean, there are times that I'm tired and take some time for shut-eye but to do it for the whole day is just plain wrong. I'd probably turn nocturnal if I did it. Either that, or I'll be extra exhausted cause I slept for so many hours. My department basically educates the public about things related to firefighting and first aid. So we go to various community clubs and factories andt each the people there how to use a basic fire extinguisher and how to dress wounds, that kind of stuff. It may sound interesting to you guys (or it may not) but after a while, it's all boring to me, cause I've seen the lessons so many times.
I really miss being in school with you guys. I was talking to Chenyen a few days back (I don't know whether you guys know her) about school and we were discussing how we missed being in uniforms and going to school, heading for lectures, things like that. It's strange really, how we used to whine and complain about the old school compound and now all we want is go back to Anderson. I think the memories we've had there were wonderful. Despite the fact that there were some shit and all, and sometimes we felt like dying from stress and pressure, but ultimately, I'm thankful that I got to know you guys.
As the days go by, I can't stop but think where we will be in the future. I know that some of my friends tell me that I shouldn't be thinking so much and should instead focus on 'now' but I just can't stop thinking about it. It's like, everything we do now has an indirect impact on the future and because of that, I don't stop thinking. I don't want to worry about my three daily meals, and not being able to support my sister, things like that. Especially with the current economic/financial crisis, I think it reminds all of us how vulnerable we really are, no matter how developed our country is. We're all directly affected by the fluctuations of change. Of course, I choose to focus on the good part, that we'd do what we've always dreamt of doing, like Yijia, doing nursing and me, in teaching. What about you Suenxin? I honestly don't know what kind of jobs you can do in future based on your course. It sounds too cheem for me to visualise. Its even harder for me to imagine Suenxin being in such a complex course. :D Just kidding!
Oooh, what have you guys been up to recently? I mean, asides from tutoring students (for Yijia) and almost crushing into other vehicles (for Ms You-Know-Who) have you guys been doing anything else? I'm quite jealous of the freedom of time that you girls possess while we guys are stuck here, doing paperwork while all of you overtake us by TWO years. However, we don't really have a choice, so I suppose, we got to accept it and moveeeeee on.
YIJIA! You made tea right? I learnt how to make butter cookies and my family and friends said that they're damn nice! :D I'm gonna make some and bring them over to your place and we can have tea and cookies, just like in those Western movies. Hahaha, how wonderful! So classy.
I'm going to miss Suenxin and KP when they move to Australia and London respectively. I mean, it's good that we can still communicate and stuff online, but it's just different. Last time, there's still the chance that we can head over to Malaysia and stuff, but Australia and London is like almost different poles of Earth. ): So disappointing. But nonetheless, I hope that our friendship doesn't change and we remain close. I'm already quite sad that some friendships are already drifting and I hope it doesn't happen to ours. No matter how busy we are, we must try to make an effort to blog at least once per week perhaps? :D
You guys take care. Hope to see you soon Yijia! :D
